In the firing line!
As Elmer Fudd once said, " I hate that wabbit" Not once , not twice but thrice he has escaped. OK he has spent the last two weeks plotting this great escape but today he put his evil genius plan into action and was caught red pawed making his way over the garden fence to get to the other part of the garden. I was awoken from my slumber at 6.30 am by #2 daughter on her way to work who barged into my room and said the rabbits escaped.
In my befuddled state I returned to my slumber and thought I will catch the bugger later. Later came and there was the bold boy munching the strimmered grass on the other side of the garden. I crept over to the hut he hides under and blocked his way under while I then proceeded to rugby tackle the eejit several times until I caught him by his lugs and imprisoned him in his box while I soothed my aching limbs as chubby hubby has so much crap that I tripped over his flaming woodpile and almost broke my leg!
When #2 daughter came home she said she had caught him and flung him back so that was escape no 2. I then decided to blast him with water from my water gun used to repel the crows each time he ent near the wall. AFter several blasts he settled under the tree. Anyhows when I went out to feed them, there he was gone! again on the other side. After several aborted attempts with nearby neighbours who were walking their dogs shouting at me where he was, I was left with no alternative but to catch him. Well catch him I did not and what did he do? he finally jumped back over the fence into the front!
Now I have barricaded the garden up like Colditz with planks of wood, wire, land mines, snake pit and cctv.
Tomorrow will tell if I have suceeded!
Blip of me taken by #2 daughter while I was having my shoot out with said dang wabbit!
Update... its almost midnight and I heard a noise at the hut in the back garden. Wwent out to check the front and sure enough the wee B****** has gone. 4th time today and the garden fence now stands at 4 fooot!! I give up, he can fester there Sam will flush him out tomorrow!
