Midsummer!!!!!!!!

For the longest day it's pretty dreich! You can see the raindrops in the pond. However, the blackbird on top of the silver birch is singing his heart out so I can't be glum. This is the view from my desk and I love it and am very thankful that John decided to make a pond in the middle of the lawn that was here when we moved.

Google UK say today is the start of summer - I'm trying not to get bovvered about this, but I don't like people to be so misled on fundamental natural things.
