Today's the day ........................ for the Battle of Britain

What a fantastic place the Imperial War Museum at Duxford is!

This chap is to be found in the one of the enormous hangers where the theme is the Battle of Britain. It's very easy to imagine something of what it must have been like to have been a pilot at that time. There are films to watch and sound effects everywhere you go.

The thing that really got to me was how small these fighter planes were and how exposed those in them were. It must have taken a special type of bravery (or madness!) to fly them ........................
