Through Jo's Lens

Sports Day

It is quite difficult to watch three boys at the same time in the same school sports day but that's what I had to do today. I tried to see each of them put in their best and did manage to catch the most important races.

Lewis, at 10 and the eldest, is quite competitive when he can be bothered to be. Today was a bit hit and miss. He won his part in the 800m relay and came equal first in the long jump.

Jed, at 8, is the most laid back child ever. He came second to last but didn't care because he wasn't last. His favourite part was throwing the javelin (which was a foam rocket!)

Rowan (green t-shirt) is the star of my blip today because he is the most determined of the three. He was pulled back with his shirt by another boy but just kept going and came in 2nd place. (Looks like he's winning but another kid has already passed the line). I like kids in the crowd yelling him on...especially other members of the Douglas team who are so into winning that you'd think it was their race.

Good day and the rain held off until later in the evening.
