....Hong Kong garden.....

Well, obviously it's not a garden in Hong Kong, but right in the middle of the shot are Young Helen's dad, Mark, and his partner Angie....who currently live in Hong Kong....and they are in our garden. Also in shot are YH and her younger sister, Rhian, the S & H, the back fo the Boss' head, Charlie and a certain part of the Daughter.

Mark and Angie flew over from HK for a couple of weeks and having got over the jet lag and spending a day in the blazing heat of Manchester, they all turned up here for a barbie. As you cah see wine and beer were also involved, in fact this shot was taken just after several pounds of meat had been eaten and a lull had been called before the chocolate cake and carrot cake came out.

Mark is a really nice guy and Angie is an absolute delight. Rhian polished off a bottle of white, but reneged on the Russian vodka.....however, next time she visits there is no escape!

Today has been an absolute scorcher which meant that the fishing wasn't great but I did catch a nice carp.

Charlie has found the heat perplexing, but last night she slept for six hours so at the moment she can do no wrong as far as her parents are concerned.

Now there's just the tidying up to do and the dishwasher to set off for its second run. Angie was quite fascinated by the dishwasher.....sorry Mark! You may have to shell out when you get back to HK!
