Sugar and spice and all things nice

Really just the spice - in this instance, coriander. You have to be on your guard with this plant - once it starts seeding itself, you'll never see the back of it. On the other hand, a damn tasty plant to have around, although I've had a run in with it in the past when I was very jet lagged at the age of 13 visiting my dad in New York. My first meal was a spicy Vietnamese jobbie, which combined with nerves (I didn't see my dad much) and exhaustion led to a night of vomiting. My poor dad watched aghast. Don't think he really knew what to do.

Since then we've mended our relationship - coriander and me, that is.
