Before the grill
This was built in the year that Mrs Pankhurst (who was born a mile or so from me) started kicking off about women's suffrage and that might explain why it looks a bit run down (its age rather than Emmeline's activism). I have no idea who it commemorates, I think it pre-dates the director of "One flew over the cuckoo's next" and George, who Ali dropped in the eighth in Zaire, has an 'e'. It's in Blindley Heath and occasionally has some less than savoury characters enjoying an early evening Special Brew by the side door as I drive past but it's available to the savoury too.
We've broken the back of this week so let's enjoy the last dregs of it. This frontage works well in the large size.
