Rambling rose

For a while I've been trying to get a photo that shows the magnificence of this white rose, but no attempts have shown how far and high it rambles! Today, King Kind John got a ladder out of the garage and held it while I clambered on to the roof. What fun it was up there! I was above the birds, which pretty much ignored me, and I got a photo of some blue tits on the bird feeder and other views of the garden.

The rose was flowering when we moved into this house 9 years ago and continues to provide a focal point each year. Each bloom is beautiful and to have so many at once is a joy.
