Pool Party

Lots of fun today!! It started with the bonus that Katie didnt get up tl 6.20! She woke at 4 and my heart sank. But i convinced her to go back to sleep. Hurrah! We had a leisurely get ready and a nice play before we walked up to Harrison & Aiden's house.

On the way there, it start to throw it down with rain. Ah well, we were going there for a pool party, so what's it matter really! The rain continued for a while and in the end we just decided to go for it and get in the pool. Which was beautifully warm and like being in the bath.

After maybe 15 minutes, the clouds broke, the sun came out and it was even more lovely. Katie was having a blast, going round and round very quickly and bouncing quite seriously! She insisted on getting out after about half an hour, ran to the slide, went down it and came back. Seemed she just needed to get it out her system! We stayed in the pool for about an hour. Katie insisted again that she needed to get out. Turned out it was for a more pressing reason this time, which I didnt discover until I went to get her changed and dried. Nice.!

It got really hot quite quickly, just enough time to dry the grass and furniture ready for a barbeque. Katie ate loads, sat at the big picnic bench with the bigger kids. They had a lovely play in the garden, before we came home for her to go to sleep. Mummy even got to catch the tail end of the grand prix (and wasnt amused!)

Heading out for a bit of a walk when she gets up, then home in time for sunday roast. Yum!
