Toadstools

Today's the day ................... the find the fungi

Anybody know anything about toadstools?

These little beauties are in my parents' garden in several clumps in the middle of the lawn underneath the structure of an old swing - which now has hanging baskets of flowers suspended from it. The lawn covers quite a large area, but it is only under the swing that the toadstools are growing.

Perhaps it's because the hanging baskets are watered sometimes when the weather is dry and so the area beneath is wetter than the rest of the lawn? But don't you need special conditions involving spores or something to have toadstools?!

I am confident that there's someone out there in Blipland who knows the answer ................
