Jackpot!
He sure hit the jackpot today and how contented he is. Look at his ware compared to his small cart which is used to collect scrap metals, cans, plastics, dead batteries etc. They're everywhere across the country scavenging and purchasing recyclable items to be sold to the collectors, who in turn, will transport truckloads to factories far away.
They'll shout loud as they approach : (In Manipuri) "YOT KOUTA PLASTIC LEIBRO?" ("Do you have metals, cans, plastics for sale?")
Encounter upon him on return with Chingkhei from his school after participating in the PATRIOTS' DAY CELEBRATION held in honour of the patriots who were hanged to death after the defeat of Manipur in the Anglo-Manipur War, 1891.
As I shoot him continuously, asked him how much he'd paid for it.
He readily and happily replied shouting : "Three thousand Rupeiya, Sahib!"
And he rode on.
