School's In!

Tomorrow!!!

I can't believe that the 7 week school holiday is over! It seems to have gone by in a blink this year!

Of course the long school holidays bring many pleasures - longer lie-ins, more socialising, no uniforms to iron, school bags to pack (or empty) long, warm sunny days (yeah right! Just sneaked that last one in there to see if you were paying attention! :)) but they also bring one major pain in the ass problem....organising childcare!!!

So, many thanks to D's sister Ele and our wonderful friend Marion, for stepping up to the plate and looking after Alan on the days we couldn''t. Without you fab women we'd be jobless!!

Thanks also due to both D's employer and mine for their continued support and patience as we juggle working with raising Alan, and enabling us to work from home and changing hours when needs must. The work still gets done and it makes for a less stressful life! :))

So, Alan's been to have his wheelchair fixed this afternoon (again...but let's not go there!), we've visited Gran and Grandpa, schoolbag is packed and uniform ready. We are knackered and neither D or I can be bothered to cook so D has sneaked out to the chippy for a couple of fish suppers!!

Thank you all so much for your birthday messages for Alan yesterday....you had me misty-eyed you lovely people!

Oh and today's blip is a feather I found in my shoe this morning...of all places! Not the white feather that pops up from time to time, but pretty none the less.
