Swanning Around...
So, the summer hols are over, schools are back and I am already suffering from sleep deprivation as I'm back to getting up almost 2 hours earlier (I start work later during the summer hols).
Before Alan left for school this morning, he wanted to know when the next lot of holidays are! In the end I had to go through all the days off he'll get till Christmas (including in-service days!) Still, he left happily so I didn't mind and focussing on the next lot of holidays cheered me up too....well till I remembered that all holidays in the run up to Christmas will probably be spent packing and preparing for moving house!!!
Fairly productive day at work and since you were all so complimentary about my curls in last Friday's SP, I wore my hair curly to work today instead of the usual straightened style. Lots of positive comments with one colleague even going as far as to tell me that this style is coming back into fashion! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Almost (but not quite) beating the comment my mum made yesterday when offering me a cardigan she bought last winter, which since her illness, is too big for her. As she handed it to me she said "I'm sure it will fit you. It's enormous" !!!!! Just as well I have a hind like a rhino sense of humour! LOL!
David prefers my hair straight and when he saw me just about to leave for work this morning, he said "oh you decided to go curly then" to which I replied, "Well I've had to get used to you being bald, so you'll just have to get used to me being curly!" Oooooo don't ya just love it when a retort just drips off the tongue immediately rather than coming into your head hours later when the moment's past! :)))
So anyway, (sorry this is turning into an epistle....feeling quite chatty tonight for some reason :)) D was at home to get Alan in from school today so after work I headed off to our local man-made loch to try and blip some fluffy ducklings or swans. Note to self, when hoping to blip birds at close range, remember to take some bread! These birds don't half take the hump when you turn up empty handed! Took them about 5 seconds to realise all I had in my hand was a camera and off they all went to the OPPOSITE SIDE of the loch! Every single one of them!
Managed to get 2 shots...this swan and a duck's bum. The bum was out of focus so you're getting the swan.
:)) xx
