Black + white = fun
Despite having had my camera for over a year, I hadn't bothered to read the instructions. I just read the basics, switched it on, pointed, shot, hmmmd about the results and that was pretty much that. Still managed to take some pretty ok shots, but the last few weeks of blipping has made me realise that there is probably a lot my camera could do, if I just took the time to experiment. Plus the price of an SLR will require some saving, so I'll make do and mend for a while!
So today I found the black and white option while fiddling on the camera on the train into town. I got rather carried away... Then I tried the vivid colour... and that got some good results too.
The shot above was my first of the day, and it shows the fancy-dancy, twiddly roofing on a building on Ingram Street, which I love looking at in the morning sun. The B&W effect makes it look even more continental.
