Rue Potager Art
Backblip
The first day of our holiday! It started out with the usual East Coast Mainline delays; apparently someone had nicked some copper cables from the railway signals out by Dunbar. We missed our original connection onto the Eurostar to Brussels, but because of the magic of mobile technology, we were able to phone ahead and get on the next train.
Arrived at DE's gaff in Brussels and had a fine meal and a couple of drams.
This strange artwork (there are several other figures) floats above a gap-site at the top of Rue Potager, near Madou Metro Station. The street itself is still completely dug up and impassable, with signs up stating that work started in Spring 2010, scheduled to last 6 months. Nice of them to make a couple of Edinburgh residents feel right at home :)
The mosquitoes made themselves at home on my legs and face, that night, though. The start of many bites and stings over the next week :(
