Bouncy bouncy

At last, after all these years, I have finally relinquished and bought a trampoline for the children. However, where I want it put, there are so many trees, so today was spent up a ladder with saw and rope to trim a few dozen branches. It shouldn?t do the trees any harm and will probably just make them grow some more branches elsewhere.

I thought Emma would love it and she does. More surprisingly, the rest of them like it too. Alex used to belong to a trampoline club, so he?s pretty nifty on it. Even I had a try, having first checked the weight limit in the specs! I think the first time since school that I?ve been on one of these. Good fun.

While trimming, I noticed this dragonfly having a look at the garden and later came to rest on a cherry tree. I think it?s a Aeshna cyanea, one of the larger hawker dragonflies, but quite common ? just not that common in our garden.
