Magical Happiness Unicorn Fairy Bear...
Don't we all just love magic, happiness, unicorns and teddy bears? I know I certainly do. Someone must have worked this out, and decided to blend all of that together into one little teddy... Oh, and it has fairy wings, just to make it even MORE awesome. Who wouldn't want a magical happiness unicorn fairy bear, with species-confusion issues, and problems deciphering reality from fantasy?!
I can only imagine a lot of interesting substances were required to come up with such a delightfully terrible idea. It's all a bit smoke and mirrors.
None the less... Master Four Year Old's magical happiness unicorn fairy bear was a very good model for me today. Not sure how it's at all relevant to anything in my life. Except that the idea of a magical happiness unicorn fairy bear is a little surreal, and that's somewhat how I'm feeling about things. There was the massive hurrah on Friday with the photojournalism job, and then three consecutive non-days. Bit weird, really.
I had to get a photo of SOMETHING. So, I decided I'd make the most of the glorious pre-spring weather Melbourne offered me today. I wanted to borrow Master Four Year Old's stuffed lion, tiger and favourite bear (oh my), but they are a little bit... Well, umm... Let's just say they look like they've had way too much fun with a little boy. Which would make for a nice photo, but not for what I wanted to do. Not sure I even achieved it with the magical happiness unicorn fairy bear. But I do like the photo all the same.
Now I'm struggling to find an appropriate song lyric to tie into this madness... So I'll just use another Gotye song, as his music has been on frequent play on my computer and mp3 of late, and ended up finishing a lot of my blips.
"You're a fraud, and you know it,
But it's too good to throw it all away.
Anyone would do the same.
Got it going, and you're careful not to show it,
But sometimes you even fool yourself a bit.
It's like magic,
But it's always been a smoke and mirrors game."
