we survived hurricane Irene

It's the morning after. We are good and we are grateful hurricane Irene was gentle on us. Having a place on the coast when your located on this small island in between this huge river and the endless ocean is not a good place to be in a hurricane. Thank goodness she decided to stay 200 miles off the coast from where we are. Today we are just getting those bands of the rements of her. A bit windy, cool clouds and a very stirred up ocean, but I like it. I could just watch the ocean for hours, which is probably on the adgenda today. My thoughts and prayers are with my loved ones back home as she is heading up the coast towards them. Hoping she will be as gentle with them as she was with us.
