Poppy

Today's the day ......................... to see things differently

This, as you probably have already worked out, is the middle of a poppy flower from my Mum's garden. They've all finished in our garden further south long ago - but this one is still going here in Edinburgh. It's thanks to my trusty little camera that you can see such detail that wouldn't be obvious to the naked eye.

I'm up here to visit my Dad who is in hospital right now. He has not been so good recently and he has difficulty in doing most things for himself. Hospital is the best place for him to be but it's hard to see him lying there.

I still see him as that man who not that long ago was so full of life and energy - a huge influence in my life ...............
