Sparrow City

Another very wet afternoon. I have spent much of it in the kitchen learning lines and looking out of the window. This hawthorn hedge is always full of sparrows so we call it Sparrow City! I love the way they sit in the gaps or like this one, on top, watching the world go by. Great little birds.
A morning in the Oxfam shop and as the weather improved so did the custom, we became quite busy. Disappointing then when the rain started at lunch time.
After two later than usual nights I am looking forward to staying in and watching some undemanding television, (recorded Corries for a start!). Then an early night with a good book.
