Green Sandpiper
We had a Green and a Common Sandpiper working their way towards us along the side of Pat's Pool at Cley Marshes. I took quite a few shots with both birds in, but not one had them both looking good at the same time, so you've got the green one looking rather smart. Not much smart about the green half of Edinburgh tonight as they lost in the derby match and are propping up the SPL - hey ho, at least Sheila's Dad will be happy.
After our trials and tribulations on Shetland where we just managed to catch sight of a Red-necked Phalarope, today we actually managed to capture one on camera. Check out RCB's Blip for a selection of shots of the rather distant juvenile bird.
