Poppy the Cockerpoo!

I have had a FANTASTIC walk this afternoon with my friend Poppy the Cockerpoo. She is soooo cool.

Do you know that Cockerpoos don't swim? They hate the water. Apparently they are like sponges. When they go in the water their coat just soaks it all up and they sink! I can't imagine not being able to swim. I would HATE it. You know how much I LOVE the water!

Well, anyway, today I took Poppy on my lovely long walk along the sea wall where there are loads of pools. I did my normal just throwing myself in and Poppy would run along the edge just watching me. Then.....all of a sudden......she jumped in! She wanted to follow me so she jumped right in! It was great! She wasn't scared or anything. Her mum said she is normally really frightened of the water but I showed her how much fun it is!

She was really funny, she did jump straight back out and it wasn't very deep so she couldn't get into any trouble. Then for the rest of the walk she was jumping in and out and following me! I LOVED showing off and teaching her!

Then we played hide and seek in the long grass, she is soooo small that you can't see her and every now and then she would jump up and go BOO at me! Hee hee, I loved it.

Then...on the way back we found a hole in a fence that we could get through into the field, so I showed Poppy how to squeeze through *giggle*. Normally she is such a good girl!

We did go back pretty quickly, well Poppy did, and then when I saw her eating my chicken from mum I shot through the fence like the speed of light ;-)

We are hoping to do it again next week, I really hope so because I think that I could persuade Poppy quite easily to become a little handful like me ;-)
