I'm a big girl now....

Well, mum was right. Apparently the other day when I was really woofy and grrrry it was PMT! Last night I started my very first season. So now I am officially a big grown up puppy :-)

So here I am taking advantage of the fact that I am a little fragile and that I am all grown up by sitting in the grown ups garden chair! It was a beautiful day and I LOVE to lie in the sun and top up my tan, so when mum was making her lunch to come and sit out there, I snuck up and stole her place *giggle*

What I didn't know about this "season" thing is that I am not allowed off my lead! How totally and utterly boring is that for a girl like me? So I am really, really sorry, but I won't be able to cause any mischief for you for a while. Mum said it is about 21 days or so. That is agggggeeeeessss! I can't go to agility either :-(

So this morning, I thought I would make one last bid for freedom, just one last little bit of mischief making......

Mum popped in to see her friend R who has moved home from New Zealand, She only lives up the road, so we popped in on our morning walk. GREAT! I LOVE R's house, she has a HUGE garden and 3 children for me to play with. However, today the children were at school, so while mum and R chatted, I had a run around the garden. I dived in and out of the bushes, having a good old sniff to see if there was anything exciting.

Then.....all of a sudden........I found a HOLE in the fence to next door's garden. It was big enough for a "grown up" puppy like me! Yippppeeee, so I SHOT through. Just at the same minute that mum realised what I was doing. She started chicken hollering, but I knew she didn't have chicken on her because I wasn't allowed of my lead was I? so I ran around and around the garden. The lady came out calling R and shrieking because she doesn't like dogs and she had a BABY lying on the floor in their conservatory. I ran towards her but she shot indoors and slammed the door. Mum was calling through the hole...... I'm sooooooo sorrry, she is just a puppy. I'm soooo sorry. Then R went around the front of the house and mum squeeeeezzzed herself through the hole.

I ran away from mum, skipping her when she came near me. Mum tried her flapping around, lying down in the grass, running in the opposite direction trick...all whilst being watched through the window by the horrified neighbour! Then I made a break for it, I saw a path leading around the house to the front. Mum was screaming at me now because it went out on to the road, but I didn't care. Then.....all of a sudden, I ran straight into R and she grabbed me and called me a NAUGHTY GIRL. Quite right, mum said, and on went the lead. I was tied up to the railings in the back garden then and we left soon after. Mum gave me a real talking to, she said it was VERY embarrassing and I am supposed to be grown up now.........

Well, I think being grown up is just BORING. Hummpppppfffhhhhhh
