Day Six: SD to Devil's Tower and Yellowstone, WY

Made our way through Devil's Tower (seen here) and over to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Wyoming is just gorgeous. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling out west. Devil's Tower is a really cool geological structure set off by itself...so I can understand why it was chosen in Close Encounters of the Third Kind (which I actually haven't seen yet, and now feel that I must). The place is popular with climbers. It is also considered sacred by the Native Americans of the area. When you walk around the Tower Trail, you see prayer flags spread throughout.

Drove the rest of the way to our campground in between Yellowstone and the Tetons. We were so excited to finally see the craggy mountains of the Tetons! They are truly awe inspiring. You will see some photos of them soon.
