A Plumbers Wife!

Chippy - a shadow of his former self

This is Chippy, backlit, taken from outside the house looking in. He is desperate to get out, but seeing as he has had pretty substantial surgery today, he isn't leaving the house now for at least a week (apart from check up on Friday and stitches out next friday).

He's had a pretty horrendous deal to be fair - he has three wound sites - abdomen, the crease at the top of his leg, and (brace yourselves boys!) his scrotum. Only one of his 'nuticles' (as James likes to call them) was external, the other hadn't formed properly and took some finding - but it had to be removed because they become cancerous in cats if left there.

The wounds look ANGRY - got a photo but didn't want to make anybody ill so chose not to post it!

Took some other pictures tonight as Corin was busy burning things in the chiminea outside - Burning burning burning - click through to page 5 !However, given that Chippy has been through the mill, I thought it right and proper to give him some journal time - even tho its not my best shot ever!!!!.

Both cats are in the living room together - no fighting tonight - Chippy is obviously very sore and not able to move around quickly, so on advice we have brought them in together so that Sparky can get used to being around Chippy without being attacked, and Chippy can come to terms with Sparky being there (and not be able to do anything about it) - Sparky, justifiably is very suspicious and everytime Chippy moves, Sparky legs it behind the sofa - although on a couple of occasions, Chippy has hidden so hopefully the balance of power can be restored soon!!!!

Am off to drink more Pimms. Yay for the sunshine!
