Latin Parade

We were very excited to learn of the third annual Long Beach Latin Parade and Festival (considering we tell anyone who asks that we live in Mexico and are just visiting California). It was to start at 15:00 and considering we were in the United States we showed up at a few minutes before the start time expecting things to get going right away. True to our Latin America experiences, the first entrant rolled down Pine Street at 15:20! It was good to see things we have grown accustomed to during our time in Mexico, like the festive dancers shown here, as well as representatives from other cultures, such as the Samoan Guards and Peruvian princesses, as well as music and lots of special interest groups.
