Great Gable

Breakfast was very nice and very filling. We decided to walk up to Great Gable from Honnister Pass via Green Gable. It was hard work in places and a bit scary climbing up and coming down the route we chose. OK it was a lot scary! It felt like climbing without a harness - one false move and that would be that. I didn't expect the path to be so steep, undefined and loose. It was all worthwhile though - the weather was fantastic meaning the views were stunning. There can be few better places to enjoy a well earned lunch.

It was a curry in the evening at a restaurant in Ambleside. That was very nice too. Tomorrow its Go Ape!
