Pear and vanilla jam tarts

Grandad gave little chef lots of pears from his garden. Little chef asked me to make jam with it so that she then could make jam tarts with them. I had never made pear jam but I do make apple marmalade sometimes so I just used the same recipe. It worked fine, I added some vanilla to it.

I was just making a lemon tart for work and had some pastry left so I made some jam tarts at the same time. Little chef and grandad were over the moon with them!
