a parting conversation...
...as they left the photo shoot
i know - yet another deer picture... i can't seem to help myself - they keep presenting opportunities i can't resist. when i least expect it, there they are... right in front of me - just feet away - waiting to be talked to and then, of course, photographed... today was no different. i do believe a couple of the three i encountered today, recognized me - they gave me a look... responded to my voice... stopped in their tracks to listen to me... it was amazing... and this last photo - well... i couldn't help but imagine them interacting -
bert: "that was interesting - she's always got that little black box with her... did you notice?"
mable: "yeah... but it's not obtrusive or anything - not like some of those others we run across. remember that guy last week? jeesh... he about ran us down."
bert: "oh... i do recall that. she does follow us though - and i kind of stumbled on the ridge..."
mable: "well - that's 'cuz of the car that was zooming by - even she was startled - putting up her hand to slow it down... made me miss out on that sweet daisy and i nearly choked on those tall grasses."
bert: "so now that we don't have to pose for her any longer - what do you say we head to some higher ground... we need to catch up with suzie - and i hear earnie has found some new grazing flowers. i'm in the mood for something a bit more exotic tonight..."
only in my imagination - i know... but he's looking at her and you know i just have no control then in making things up... and i will always defer to showing off these creatures especially if i can capture more than one in a single shot... it just doesn't happen that often... i find it a blessing - it makes me stand in awe - makes me do the happy dance and always leads
to a
happy day.....
