desert white...

...is what i've named this random flower

although - it could be the name of a song... or a poem... as easily

i found it in a field - there were 4 huge blossoms... i was immediately entranced by them - appearing like white tissue paper in the midst of dry, barren land... a bit of red dusty earth surrounding them... cactus-like greenery underneath.. all crinkly and wrinkled - this pale white fluttering in a rather strong wind... winking at me - daring to see if i could capture it in focus - tempting me to take on the challenge of a flower portrait...

if you dare - do it right... be bold - not cautious... this may give off the impression of being delicate - but the message was clear to me and resonated strongly... it is a flower with fortitude - to be able to weather desert conditions - sands and storms... so, too, am i - so, too, are you - let that make for...
