Hungry Gap

It was a nice sunny day and we managed to accomplish quite a lot (although taking an in-focus photo was clearly not included). Quick shopping trip up to John Lewis and V & C followed by a couple of hours at the allotment. Steviefish was harvesting beans from his plot when we passed by and we discussed seaweed - it would seem to be the magic ingredient. On the way home we had a very welcome cup of tea brewed by Malc in his smart new kitchen.

When I was at the allotment I came across a few of these little kale plants clustered under some huge weeds and transplanted them. They're a Heritage seed variety called Russian or Hungry Gap, so they should be pretty tough (surely!).
