Sound check

Ah, real life gets in the way of blipping sometimes - the only shots I found in my camera that weren't horribly out of focus were a couple of the sound checks going on. This is the main hall/room in Cecil Sharp House; rather cavernous and echo-y in sound terms. Jamie did a great job on the sound. The mural on the right-hand wall has some sort of conservation status; I don't know much about Art but I know what I don't like.

A good time seems to have been had by all; particularly considering that almost all of the original performers who appeared have by now well qualified for their bus passes. Dave Evans got a genuine ovation in spite of being almost crippled by stagefright, Mr Hunt was as suave as ever and Wizz Jones and Pete Berryman were sublime. It was great to see Tucker Zimmerman playing in the UK again, first time since 1972. But the absent friends were very much in everyone's mind. Forty years eh?

Yes yes.
