Post Ex: More than one way..

...to skin a cat.

Some of the co-workers had a trip up to the Old College Quad today for the official opening. They had laid out a few of the finds for the bigwigs to inspect, including a bone or two.
This meant that Tom got to say "Syphilis" to Princess Anne :)))

Meanwhile, I had much more fun looking at animal bones, including this cat right ulna, which has cut-marks suggesting that the skin had been removed. I find the idea of wearing a cat-fur item really distasteful, but I guess the 17th century was a distinctly unsentimental time :(
