Chasing the Sun

On the east coast of Kintyre we missed out on the heatwave and last saw the sun on Monday. Temperatures struggled to get about 14/15 degrees and with a fresh wind it felt more like 9/10 degrees. We even lit the fire on Wednesday.

However, when I stirred this morning there was a strange glow coming through the bedroom window. I grabbed the camera and, yes, there it was trying ever so hard to break through the clouds, the sun! Not the greatest of shots but it just had to be blipped. Sadly, in no time at all it was gone and the clouds rolled in from the west.

We set off for Renfrew and, predictably, the clouds followed as the temperature rose. On arriving in Renfrew it was balmy 23 degrees. It was like getting out a plane in Spain! However, the following clouds soon blackened and a little later it was raining. Who says we talk too much about the weather in this country!
