Computer lab-to-be

C&R snr started their new business un-officially today! I promise to blip it again in a week or so, when the blinds are up and all the equipment works!! ;-)

They will supply two fully equipped, state of the art computer labs at our school, where not only computer studies will be taught, but it will be a reading lab as well. The principal of our school wrote the following in the school's fortnightly news letter: We are in the process of setting up a leasing contract/service delivery contract with C&R to change our two IT classrooms (one for the Primary School & the other one for the High School) into state of the art computer facilities. Mrs Charmaine James CEO of the company wants to use our school as a pilot project to roll out these centres into other schools later on. They will also utilize these IT centres as reading- and learning centres for our learners from next year- a long awaited dream come true!

I am so excited for my children, and will support them as far as possible in this new venture and I wish them lots of success and happiness! R jnr and Joe will be full partners in the business soon, and I am sure they will be a great asset to the business! Joe has completed his degree in computer studies, and since he did his A-levels in a Cambridge school as well, he is familiar with the system and will be a great teacher in our computer centres! R jnr plans on doing his in-service teacher's training, through UNISA, at our school as well, and will, hopefully, not only be involved in the computer labs, but in other subjects as well.

Tomorrow is the official opening of the High School, and the new buildings! Big festivities planned! We are really so tired, it was a tough two weeks, but with all the excitement tomorrow, I am sure all our efforts will be rewarded!
