The Three Brethren

Met these fit cyclists at the Three Brethren on our circular walk from Yair today. The weather was very muggy but it did not rain. We had all sorts of confusion in our arrangements and, without going into detail, H and I were at this point drinking our coffee 20 mins ahead of the rest of the group who were on an "alternative route".

Back in Melrose we visited a local hotel where they had sold Allendale beer 2 years ago. No such luck today, but they did have some real ale so a definite improvement on the bar of our hotel.

I chose the cyclists today because I know that at least 3 of my followers are keen bikers and they may even have cycled this route. The guys were heading for Selkirk.
