Toward Bring Deeps

I was going to bus it to Deerness but torrential rain made me think it a bad idea- so I went to Stromness instead. At least then, if the weather continued awful, I could return to town and shelter.

I walked the shore path along to Warebeth into increasing strong winds up to about 40mph. The photo shows Graemsay High Lighthouse in the distance.

I did find shelter from which to watch gannets and other birds battle the elements. Grey seals just bobbed about as if in a heated indoor swimming pool.
