Stick Play

As it was pretty nice today we headed down to the common. We bought a baggette and some cheese, along with some other bits, on the way and had quite the french style picnic when we got there.

We seemed to have most of the common to ourselves so the little ones had quite a run around. As usual it was not long til some sticks were found and they enjoyed having a good poke of a tree before finding things to whack.

Whacking things with a stick seems to be one of Baby's favorite things to do. Toddler seems to have got more into this game since Baby came along, however she does not seem to have the same natural ability for it as her brother, This came to light whilst she was whacking a tree with her stick and managed to hit her own lip.

After checking she was ok and calming her down we decided that her stick was maybe a bit to long and so reduced it. She then decided Baby's stick also needed to be de-lengthened, and then decided that actually all the sticks needed to go away and so spent some time clearing our bit of the common of wood.

So they then played with a ball for a bit. I say played but really this just meant Toddler got it and held on to it whilst running around with her brother chasing desperate to play with it, both, giggling at the same time.

After the run around we headed for shoe shopping for winter shoes for Toddler, though this was cut short when the shops didn't really have any suitable winter shoes. So lets just hope the nice weather will hold for a bit longer till we get some.

As we were in town we decided to have a look round some other shops and popped into Boots to get some vitamin pills. Whilst Wife was working out which type of pills would be the least disgusting the little ones started looking at the items on the shelves. Baby got particularly interested in a can of lubrication jelly which I managed to put back. As I did he returned to the shelves and grabbed two more cans and knocked all the rest of them along with lots of other sexual health products, and then did a runner.

So obviousley I was really pleased to see the member of staff coming towards me just as I had picked armfuls of of the products like some sort of in season casanova. I put them back and doing that talking out loud thing about being a of terrible children which any onlookers just wouldn't have believed. We will not be going back to Boots.
