Dun dun Duuuuuuuun!!

How spooky are these guys?

I don't often see them on my visits but I find them sinister and spooky.
I admire a submariner, as this is one job that I just could not do!

They bring back childhood memories, as we used to live in Kirn and spend much time in Kilmun with friends. We used to pass by Sandbank and "The Hunley" - a nuclear submarine depot ship after the "Proteus". So much suspicious activity - as alluded to in yesterday's comment (thank you to Acronymphomania for sorting out my spelling of Coulport (I did not know!)

The Parentals and I had a fab lunch with my sister and her son at The Wheelhouse in Langbank - it's to be recommended and is right by the road - excellent service and food! It was great fun and very relaxed. My sister gave me a very unexpected birthday present - a painting of Pittenweem, which I will blip soon. I was VERY touched, and now can't wait get home to "place" it. It is my very favourite view from the harbour up to the Abbey Wall Road Turrets where we used to stay!

I have had such a great stay here in Gourock, and will be very sorry to leave on Friday morning. I know I'm not perfect, but I do wonder how my folks will manage when I'm not here.....but they do, which is wonderful!
