Summer Comes Again

Yesterday the weather people promised that today would be hot. And it was! The high today was 101 degrees F. One difference October has from August is that the evenings cool down considerably.

So late this afternoon when we both arrived home within minutes of each other, heading to backyard pool was a decision we made in unsion. We soaked in the pool for almost 2 hours before heading into the kitchen to make a light dinner of salad and artisan bread.

This feels like the land of eternal summer. I like summer, but honestly, I'm ready for autumn.
