My good Samaritan
I was crouched on the ground, facing this little bridge in the Arboretum when a walker came down the trail. "Can I help you?" she inquired. I smiled, thinking of the impression I must have given her. There I was on the ground, apparently unable to stay on my feet, so she offered to help me up. Although she probably thought I was a little crazy, I can only imagine the relief she felt to learn that I was intentionally on the ground, trying to capture a picture of the colored leaves on the bridge from that angle. I reassured her that my picture would probably be better if I took it as she crossed the bridge, and that is what I did. She turned and waved, then I snapped the shutter as my good Samaritan continued down the trail.
