Old hospital

Isn't this building beautiful? It's the old Eye & Ear Hospital in the centre of Maidstone. Many years ago Jemma spent a night here while having grommets fitted. It closed in 2003 and there was some uncertainty about its future but now it has been converted into apartments and the exterior has been cleaned up. A frieze above the door declares that it was established in 1846.
