Catarata Fortuna

Second day in Costa Rica we head to La Fortuna city near the Arenal volcano. We stayed in a hostel with 8 people in our room. It was loud but who cares, we were just there to sleep. We went on a 5 km (4 mi) hike to the waterfall Fortuna.

After such a long hike in hot and humid weather swimming in the cold lake of the waterfall was heaven! The water drops 75 meters and it easily drown you if you attempt to swim under it. Of course we tried to swim to the center but the powerful water flow just wont let you.
