Sweet Child of Mine

Elizabeth grabbed my hand and said "pull, pull, mummy". I got up, she went over to the door, sat down, pointed to her feet and said "shoes on". She wanted to go outside to play. So we did.

Robert and Grandma left at about 9am. We've had a fairly peaceful day. Snuggled a bit in the morning, then went out to a "Stay and Play" at the Children's Centre in the afternoon.

There was a big toy tractor at the centre, for children to ride on. It was just a teeny bit too big for Elizabeth, but when she sat on it, she could push the pedals a little with her feet, but just loved being on the tractor.

Later when she tried to have another turn, an older girl kept blocking her. She would run and jump on it every time Elizabeth tried to get near it. There were only 4 children there, but her mum didn't notice what she was doing, even when Elizabeth started crying. She got back on eventually and stayed on for a whole 2 minutes.

I hate bullies and even more, I hate parents who pay no attention to their children! I had even spent time helping this girl with a jigsaw earlier in the session!

Anyway, Elizabeth left happy, so all was well.

When we got home we played with some stickers, did some drawing, played with water in the sink and watched Justin's House... Elizabeth's new favourite TV show.

Also, at naptime, Elizabeth was requesting songs! When I tried to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle" she was asking for "Frere Jacques". Then when I sang "I can sing a rainbow" she asked for it again.
