Tail enders

Grey and damp weather, but that did not deter a sizeable band of walkers this morning. It seemed to take ages for everyone to get on the local service bus. Perhaps a trip to Peebles was reason for our enthusiasm - we love an outing as there is lots of opportunity to sit down and chat! We had nice walk through the old streets and down to the river through the park. You can see us all straggled out in this photo. The water in the river was high and some gulls seemed to be playing chicken at the weir - but it's easy if you can flap your wings and fly away when you get to the tricky part! Another good thing about Peebles, apart from the variety of walks is the large number of coffee shops!
