Thats a real sandcastle!

On the beach in Guadamar del Segura you can find a number of beach scultpures like this.

The local town council was trying to ban them (not sure why - not doing any harm and they are right by the promenade so they aren't taking up valuable sunbathing space - beaurocrats gone mad I guess) but they are very popular with the locals and tourists alike.

This one was my favourite, although there was a fantastic representation of Christ on the cross, alongside the Disciples sat at the table of the Last Supper which was really impressive.

Lovely afternoon on the beach - James and mum by the water building sandcastles of their own, whilst I guarded the bags and sat and read my book.
