Joe Simpson - Musician Portraits

We went to see Joe's exhibition today (details on the link). I would wholeheartedly recommend it. His portraits are absolutely stunning in detail and their realism. It was quite emotional seeing them and Faye and I were quite overtaken by them, and by Joe.

Joe is talented beyond belief - I have blipped him before. Despite this obvious talent, he continues to be a grounded, humble and very unassuming young man. I feel nothing but pride to know him and to be able to share his talent with blipland.

If you can get there, go and see the exhibition - it closes on 30th October.

We have walked and walked. We're knackered, but we've had a lovely day. Coffee, cake, ice cream and watching the skateboarders down at the South Bank. We saw the houses of Parliament from a distance, but decided not to take James there given the talk of revolution from Chris last night!!! Random moments of the day involved a bloke walking round the south bank wearing a Panda outfit and a lovely girl at Clapham Junction who had a pet pygmy hedgehog that she was showing to James and Corin - soooo cute.

Now awaiting the arrival of curry whilst preparing with a glass of wine. Then probably more conversations about use of DSLR's and ponderings on the different techniques used by my brother in his scuba-diving imaging (which is beautiful and well executed) compared to dry land and the start of astrophotography that I am engaging in.
