Balancing on the edge of the day

This shot was taken a few moments before the sun slipped behind the hill.

Tess decided to plonk herself on the steep grassy slope and look at the tree below her. Its top branches were lit by delicate yellow light

The sun was lighting her from the side and it was going to be such a lovely shot.

Within seconds the lovely stripe of yellow disappeared and I was left with an almost photo.

I still love it because of who it is, where it is and a lovely memory of an Autumn evening walk
