Day 20. 365grateful - homemade light box
I really wanted a way of photographing my jewellery so G made me a lightbox today. It's good. Unfortunately his fabulous camera needs to be repaired so I'll have to wait to use it to it's full potential.
I also enjoyed watching Martha Beck (whose book Finding your own North Star is fantastic if you don't know where you want to go but know that you're in the wrong place right now) on Oprah's live class. It was very thought provoking. It was about acknowledging the real truth about yourself and your life and that only in seeing the truth can you really be yourself.
When I dare to be powerful - to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid. Andre Lorde

The 365 Grateful Project
In early 2008, in an effort to fight depression, Hailey Bartholomew started a year long photographic project which involved taking one Polaroid photo a day of something she felt grateful for.
I thought that this was such a fab idea I would do it as well. I have been blipping on and off recently but I lost my enthusiasm for it when I felt that every day was the same, always going to the same place. However, I think that documenting something I am grateful for each day gives it a different slant.
