In a box

I've been sorting through some baby things, so this box got left out in the sitting room. Elizabeth has enjoyed sitting in it. But she can't get in and out herself, so it's not brilliant.

This afternoon we attempted to try out an event that the Children's Centre had put on in our estate for the half term. The information in their leaflet said it was a fun bus with soft play activities and it was for 0-5 year olds.

So off we went, with Elizabeth chirping on about going on a bus.

We got there, and the queue was full of kids who were more like 10-16 year olds.

I took her on, and the guy in charge pointed at toys at the back that would be suitable for Elizabeth. They were baby toys. Most of the fun climbing stuff was all upstairs. I would never have been able to get up there and I couldn't leave Elizabeth to it with all those older ones there. So we came off the bus.

I was so disappointed, Elizabeth loves soft play. I really thought it would be ok because they specifically said for 0-5 year olds.

Elizabeth's been pretty happy playing at home anyway today, so she didn't suffer.
